PREA Report for Palm Beach Youth Academy

Palm Beach Youth Academy is a 70 bed residential high risk treatment facility for male adolescent between the ages of 15 to 21 years old, operated by Sequel Youth and Family Services under contract with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. The facility is considered a secure residential facility with an average length of stay of 9-12 months. The facility provides supervision of youth in a safe, secure, positive, and normalized-focused environment. In addition to ensuring the physical well being of our youth, PBYA aims to provide our youth with high quality clinical services to address their mental health and substance abuse needs.

Student Profile

The program houses residents between the ages of 15 to 21 who have been adjudicated to a high risk residential treatment program through the Florida Department of Juvenile Justices Court System and are in need of Mental Health Overlay Services or Substance Abuse Treatment Overlay Services.


Whom Do We Serve?

Palm Beach Youth Academy serves a population of high risk adolescent males between the ages of 15 to 21 years who are committed to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice after being assessed and classified as high-risk to public safety who are in need of mental health and/or substance abuse treatment. All youth have a primary axis one diagnosis of some sort of mental health and/or substance abuse disorder.
