Treatment

With the Three Springs Creed as our foundation we provide an effective treatment environment to address the issues of troubled adolescents who generally have not found success in other types of programs.

Three Springs treatment focuses on the “here and now” issues of a child’s life. This focus is consistently seen through the utilization of a Cognitive Behavioral therapeutic approach with an emphasis on the development of problem solving, coping, self-help and socialization skills. This orientation places significant expectations on the resident to take responsibility for his situation and to address it in a positive manner. Our behavioral model strives to help residents recognize and change inappropriate behaviors. The central treatment focus is on setting and achieving short and long-term goals through behavioral management.

Our programs utilize and stress the importance of Group Process in treatment. We find that under the supervision and guidance of skilled counselors, residents are able to impact one another in a manner which produces positive and enduring change.

While the use of Group Process is the primary therapeutic intervention necessary to achieve lasting change, we also recognize the need for additional therapeutic efforts such as psychiatric services, family sessions, educational services, substance abuse education and victim treatment.
