Treatment Goals and Objectives

pghd_0907.jpg

At Three Springs, we combine caring guidance with discipline and peer group interaction under the watchful eye of experienced treatment staff members. Troubled teens are led down a path of self-discovery and introspection enabling them to understand and deal with the emotions, causes and consequences of their behavior.

The goal of Three Springs adolescent behavioral treatment programs is to help troubled children find lasting solutions. Accomplishing this goal requires patience, compassion, discipline, understanding and a holistic treatment philosophy of healing children - mind, body and spirit.

The mileposts or objectives employed to measure progress toward the ultimate goal of family reunification are easily measured using a stage system to move residents through the program. The treatment objectives of Three Springs staff members are those of parents and of the children themselves:

  • Learning responsibility
  • Improving decision–making skills
  • Learning coping skills
  • Gaining respect for self and others
  • Achieving academic improvement
  • Gaining empathy for others
  • Working through issues related to divorce, grief, and adoption
